The 2007 Nodak Speedway Season in Review, Nodak Speedway.
The IMCA Hobby Stock Class would crown a new Champion in 2007 as Mike Swallers moved up the the Stock
Car class. #24 Gary Hamilton, last years runner up to Swallers wasted no time is taking over the Top spot as
he took the first Feature win of the season and went on the take the Points Title. #72 Dallas Rice showed
Beeter won the most features in 2007 with 4 wins. #49 Erik Laudenschlager and newcomer #73h Dusty Hoffert
each won 2 features. Brock Beeter, Philip Brandvold, Bob Fuegmann, Kelly Rambel, Shawn Nostdahl each
took home a feature win. #20 Dusty Lawson also won a feature in his last Hobby Stock Start as he has moved
up the the Nosa Sprints. 29 Drivers scored points in 2007.
In the IMCA Stock Cars #97 Nathan Burke showed he has the Stock car down to a science. Burke won 9 of the
18 feature Events in 2007. He also won another Stock car points title over Runner up #14 Randy Fyllesvold.
#132 Chad Strachen went on to win 3 features. #99 Tyler Dosch won 2 features in 2007 showing a Ford can
still run with the Chevys. #X Jason Laducer also doubled up to win 2 features. Matt Lang and Mike Swallers
each notched wins in the Stock Car Class. 37 drivers took points in 2007.
The Inex Legends had 24 Drivers take to the track in 2007. #51 Glen Huettl won the points title along with 2
features. #75 Spencer Wilson also won 2 features and was runner up in points. Cam Schafer showed it didn't
matter which car he drove as he won 6 features , 2 in the #54 and 4 in the #5c Machine. #4 Robert Huettl won
2 features in a year that he missed a few races. Robert handed the car over to Nathan Burke for 1 night and
Burke showed his versatility to drive anything as he went on to take the Checkered Flag first.
The IMCA Modified Class was still the Largest class at Nodak with 55 drivers scoring points and if you throw
in the Dakota tour and Motor Magic well over 85 different drivers were on hand for the 2007 Season. Not
much changed on the top as #7 Marlyn Seidler won yet another points Title. He won 2 features on his way to
the Championship. #25 Hank Berry won 6 features and was runner up in the points Battle despite missing 1
night during the season. #4j Wayne Johnson tripled up to win 3 features. #2k Troy Kittler notched 2 features
in 2007. Also winning a feature were c21 Aaron Turnbull, #34 Todd Lysne, #29 Drew Christianson, #19 John
Flory & #9h Robert Hellebust. #21 Steve Arpin won the opening night of the Dakota Modified Tour and went
on to a Clean Sweep of all 6 nights of the Tour.
In the Nosa Sprint Car class #21k Lou Kennedy Jr. won his First points title along with a feature win. #6 Greg
Nikitenko was the Bridesmaid again finishing second to Kennedy in Points. Nikitenko won 1 feature in 2007.
#8 Casey Mack showed he can carry the Mack name in the Future by notching 2 features this season. #22
Jason Linnell won the feature during the Rough Rider Classic. 31 drivers scored points in 2007
The Nodak Speedway ran a World of Outlaws show on August 14th, It was again a full house as everyone was
here to see the Outlaws all Back together under the same banner again. #21 Daryn Pittman went on to win the
race after he and #15 Donny Schatz had contact, knocking Schatz out of contention.
#17 Steve Pavlichek won the Midwest Modified Features During the Rough Rider Classic, #11 Jeremy Keller
won the NLRA Late Model Feature during the Roughrider Classic. #19 Kohlan Fedyk and #11 Mike Lucy were
feature winners in the Mini Sprint class during Motor Magic
The Nodak Speedway had 41 different feature Winners in 2007. 176 drivers scored points with over 250
drivers taking to the track for the 2007 Season. It was a great season and we look forward to the 2008 season.
